About Our Project

​For this year's ArtReach project, TMS Advanced Art students chose to focus on helping the new Bethel animal shelter, "Heart of the Mountains". You can visit this organization on the web here: www.heartofthemountains.org.   Students wanted to learn about and spend time with animals, as well as support our local community, and by helping out the this shelter we are able to do all of these things. 

 

In addition, we are also planning to have an animal-themed 5K run in the spring to raise money and awareness for the new shelter. Ideas for this run so far include; animal face painting, costumes and obstacles.

 

All the funds raised at the December 2013 ArtReach event, and any other funds we raise throughout the year, will be donated to our cause. Our next fundraiser will be the Make It Pawsable 5K run here at Telstar.  We are almost ready to share information about that event.  Check back here for updates!
